AI-assisted import extracts information from CVs and maritime documents for user review. Configurable matrices, checklists, notifications, and export templates let each company apply its own working requirements.

Is there a free version or trial period?
Crewvector does not provide a self-service trial. Maritime companies and crew departments can request access to the product demo through the contact page. The demo uses sample data in a separate environment so visitors can explore the available modules without affecting production records.
What are the system requirements for the service?
Crewvector runs in a current desktop or mobile web browser, so users do not install a separate desktop application. A stable internet connection is required, and connection speed can affect large file uploads. For the best compatibility and security updates, use a currently supported browser version.
How do you ensure the security of my data?
Crewvector protects data transmitted between a user's browser and the service with TLS 1.2/1.3 and encrypts stored data with AES-256. Customer data is hosted exclusively in EU data centers. Account permissions and role-based access control which users can work with operational data.
How do you respond to customer feedback and suggestions regarding the improvement and development of your product?

How do you approach data migration from other systems and standard document formats such as PDF, MS Word, and MS Excel?
Crewvector provides free data migration from spreadsheets, existing crew management systems, and standard document formats. The team first reviews the source data, required fields, document formats, and validation work, then confirms the migration scope and timeline. Structured imports and AI-assisted extraction from seafarer CVs and maritime documents reduce manual data entry during the transition.
What is a document matrix in crew management?
A document matrix (also called a certificate matrix or compliance matrix) maps required documents and certificates to seafarer ranks. Crewvector supports two levels:
- Company-wide matrix — requirements that apply across the company for each configured rank
- Vessel-specific matrix — requirements that supplement or override the company rules for an individual vessel
At each rank-and-document intersection, administrators can set how many months the document must remain valid at embarkation. Crewvector then shows missing, expired, or insufficiently valid documents when users review a seafarer or prepare a vessel assignment.
How does Crewvector handle vessel-specific certificate requirements?
Administrators configure baseline rank requirements in the company-wide matrix and additional requirements on an individual vessel. A vessel matrix can supplement or override the company rules.
When a user assigns a seafarer to that vessel, Crewvector checks the profile against both matrices and displays a warning with missing or invalid documents. The matrices contain the company's configured requirements; Crewvector does not present separate built-in flag-state, owner, or charterer rule layers.
